Katie Straker is a PhD candidate in musicology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Katie’s interests include secular medieval song and a variety of issues in popular music, ranging from hermeneutics to compositional processes in experimental genres. Her forthcoming dissertation is on medievalism in pop since 1960.
